Our unique community, its history and its legacy are in jeopardy due to the rise of holiday and second homes in the Upper Dales, and the resulting shortage of homes for those who live and work in the area. BUT there are lots of ways you can help us to make a difference.

 For us to succeed in our mission - to provide affordable, sustainable housing for people born, living or working in the Upper Dales – we need the essential backing and support of our local community, as well as broader assistance from individuals, funding bodies, local councils, regional and national organisations.  There are a number of different ways you can offer your support, in addition to simply registering your interest so we can keep you updated.​

Financial support

You can support our work by making a donation to the UDCLT.   We have some eye-watering financial targets to reach so that we can continue to move forward with our build plans and future projects.  All our volunteers are unpaid so your contributions would go directly towards our goals. You can read all about why we need funds, what they are for and how they are used here. Whatever size your donation, we value your financial support. 

If you are a second homeowner, enjoying all the benefits of living in the Upper Dales, would you consider making a contribution to UDCLT to enable others who have a local connection to the area to live here too?

If you have a holiday home in the Upper Dales, could a nominal sum be added to your rental incomes which could in turn be given to UDCLT to help provide affordable housing for people living and working locally in the area? And could you encourage and enable your guests to do likewise?

Other ways of supporting us

You may also wish to support us more actively – we rely entirely on volunteers willing to help UDCLT in lots of different ways.

• Do you have a story to tell or ideas to share? 
• Do you like to help with/organise events?
• Is fundraising something you would like to get involved with? 
• Would you be able to share your admin skills? 
• Do you have expertise in areas which could make a difference to our aims?  
• Have you any images we could use for our marketing materials? 
• Would you like a more formal role in our Trust? 
• Perhaps you have land or buildings which could be re-purposed?
